What are we truly doing to our skin? Are we making matters worse instead of better?

What are we truly doing to our skin? Are we making matters worse instead of better?

It may come as a shock to many but about 98% of the product on the market that say it moisturizes the skin in fact dries it instead. Why? We the biggest problem is the alcohol in them. Most products you buy in the store is over 70% alcohol. Even though they claim to have all these good ingredients in them which I am sure they do but the problem is how much? Fact is that they only have to have a "dusting" of an ingredients to claim it is present in the product. For another fact out of that remaining 30% of the product, roughly about 25% of that is petroleum or mineral oil and water, 3% is fragrance and colorant, and maybe if your lucky that remaining 2% is something that is actually good for your skin.

Now you may be thinking but it feels good on my skin. Yes, petroleum does feel good. But will never do any good. In fact, it actually makes things worse because it clogs your pours; which doesn't allow your skin to breath.

Now this includes everything. Your lotion, soap, shampoo, conditioner, night creams, facial cleaners, all of it. Go ahead, take a look at the bottle.

Here is a few items to look at:

Common Liquid Soap: Water , Ammonium C12-15 Pareth Sulfate , Magnesium Isododecylbenzenesulfonate , Lauramidopropylamine Oxide , SD Alcohol 3-A , Sodium Xylenesulfonate , Sodium Chloride , Fragrance , Pentasodium Pentetate , DMDM Hydantoin , Sodium Bisulfite , D&C Orange No. 4 (active ingredients: Triclosan 0.12%).
